As the Co-Chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Criminal Practice Committee, Ron Herman has been hard at work to bring helpful and interesting programming to criminal law practitioners. He kicked off the year by brainstorming with the Committee on how to engage more lawyers and encouraged new ideas. After months of meetings, planning, and diligence, the Committee is proud to present the Continuing Legal Education seminar on “Federal & State Practical Comparisons from the Bench” on May 3, 2019. The esteemed panel is composed of the following federal and state judges who will provide invaluable insight: Senior Judge Kenneth Marra, United States District Court; Magistrate Judge Bruce E. Reinhart, United States District Court, Judge Joseph Marx, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit and Judge John S. Kastrenakes, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. Ron also appreciates that Assistant Unites States Attorney Adam McMichael and Assistant Federal Public Defender, Panayotta Augustin-Birch have accepted the Committees invitation to moderate this one hour CLE. The Committee has been planning this event all year and is excited to discuss these important topics, focusing on specific, practical differences between state and federal court criminal law practice. The event will conclude with a candid open discussion.
